Hello Richard,
We'll certainly check & help you with this.
Initially, please let us know the operating system of the device on which you wish to use Kidlogger on.
Secondly, we request you to install Kidlogger on your device & check if AVG detects it as a threat. If it does, we'll collect the necessary details & forward your concern to our false-positive analysis team.
Keep us updated.
Thanks for the response. I reported the file to AVG. Will follow the support information once the pages loas.
Is there any fix or information on how to allow Kidlogger to work with AVG. They posted that it (Kidlogger) no longer works with AVG because AVG ignores exceptions. Is AVG going to correct this issue soon?
Thanks for replying. Both machines are running Windows 10, fully patched. Kidlogger was installed and worked but then after restarts it was removed by AVG. I am running AVG 22.3.3228 (build 22.3.7108.439) Virus def: 220429-4 UI vers: 1.0.657.
The software worked for a bit as long as I uninstalled AVG then installed Kidlogger and set exceptions per their guidance. Then on or about April 12, 2022 AVG determined the software was no good and stopped it. Reinstalls failed unless AVG was removed.
The following is posted on the Kidlogger support page:
McAfee, Norton 360, AVG antiviruses are completely incompatible with any parental control software because these antivirus services ignore the list of exceptions.
Just uninstall the McAfee, Norton 360 and AVG before you install the KidLogger application.
Use Kaspersky, Avira or Avast instead. The built-in Windows Defender, is also a good solution for parental control.
I was running this on 2 Windows computers and planned on deploying it on two Android phones but if AVG will not "play nice" with the monitoring software i need to rethink my approach.
This isn't the experience we want you to have, Richard. We'd like to help you with this.
Please clarify whether you receive any threat notification from AVG regarding the software. If so, please click on 'See details' in it & then share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.
Thank you for writing back to us, Richard.
Did you try to access the AVG website in a different browser and check?
We request your patience and our AVG developer team will confirm you through email.
Thank you.
