How to deactivate unwanted background updates of apps by AVG Internet Security?

Hello, my name is Horst Flock

I’m using AVG internet security since many years with payed licenses.

Since beginning of 2026 I have the same issue on my old Win8.1 system.

This system should stay as it is to run older tools an games.

Now AVG updates from time to time in the background a lot software applicatons unwanted.

Some of them are crashed with newer versions, not running on Win8.1.

I researched, that the AVG service [avgToolsSvc.exe] is parent process for all the unwanted updates.

It is starting from time to time the process [su_worker.exe] as SubProcess and this one is starting each of the setup processes for updates. I made a screenshot for example [iTunes64Setup.exe].

But found following examples updated unwanted:

iTunes, Google Earth, 7-Zip, Oracle VirtualBox, PdfCreator, …

I have a payed AVG internet security licence for 10 devices for 3 years.

So let me know, how to stop this unwanted function completely.
