I was told AVG would email to start this process. They did not. Apparently I have to initiate this process. The site is incredibly unhelpful and circular in its options. They clearly try to force people to give up and leave their info with them regardless of their customers desires. How can I initiate this process. Disgusted with this garbage company.
I have a major problem with them , as well , with this recurring payment , I got rid of my old desk top computer , and am frustrated trying to get my acc terminated , I’ve been on to my bank. To try to stop these payments, they the bank have advised me that they have them stopped, than when I check my bank account avg are still taking money from my account , I have never !!!downloaded their programs since i threw out my old desktop , next step is to contact COMREG , the ombudsman man to try to stop them from accessing my account !! They make it very difficult to disconnect their programs ,! I’m going on 82 years of age this month and I most certainly do not need the hassle at this time of my life !! I have have given them good support when I had their programs , over the years , and now they are trying to continue as if nothing is happening , where are their customer services sadly not customer orientated, only when they are looking for customers , no contact no either that is no way to run a business ,
Congrats on 82! World will be much better soon, days or weeks to come. AVG in my opinion is an absolute scam sold in part by making false reports your security is at risk. In my case contradictory to reports made by my Operating System. Site info is circular someone said. Fortunately I stopped billing withdrawls with paypal while I spent much time trying to CANCEL, a never activated bit of rubbish they offer–seems what it was. CIRCULAR info appears when requesting CANCELation. Eventually I thought to page down–try this every page. There, finally, appeared a button for cancellation. Bloody rubbish, waste of time, and aggressively marketed SCAM. NO way to run a business. BEWARE those who’ve not tried it. Do a very thorough search FIRST before a ‘free trial.’ I think they say they will first advise of pending expiry. I didn’t get that notice. DISGUSTED with it. Belated happy birthday. Cheers.
