How to DOWNGRADE from trial to FREE version?

Hi, I'm a little agitated by this product. I was in the middle of conducting some business, and the Anti-Virus software kept popping up with deals and offers. I kept clicking the X in the upper right corner to close, but it kept coming back every 10 seconds.

I was fed up with having to click close, and say it was talking about upgrade/update to the anti-virus software. I let it do it's thing and install the "update," and much to my dismay, it installed the trial version.

I DO NOT want to have the Trial Version of AVG Anti-Virus, and I DO NOT seek to upgrade to the full version. I DO NOT want to be billed unnecessarily for when the Trial expires.

How do I safely downgrade to the normal free version of the Anti-Virus, and get out of the trial?
