How to enable Cloud Backup

Hi Yumi,

We are glad to help you.
We will check and help you to resolve this issue.
Did you try to add exceptions to that file or program in AVG Internet Security program and then check if it helps?
You can refer to this article: https://bit.ly/3rx5p5k on how to add exceptions.
Thank you and keep us updated.

Appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue, Yumi.
Please try enabling Internet Connection sharing mode in AVG Firewall settings once to check if it helps.

Hello.

I have AVG Ultimate installed on my PC (Windows 11) and recently I started subscribe for Clous Backup service called iDrive.
I can backup manually, but having problem with auto backup I scheduled.
I set to backup every night, but I keep getting the following error message and haven't been able to backup automatically.

The scheduled backup has failed. Reason: 1. Ensure that you do not have an intermittent Internet connection. 2. Check if you have granted the necessary privileges on local firewall settings for it to run correctly..

And I don't know HOW to allow this backup...

I would appreciate if you could share how to resolve the problem.

Thank you in advance. m(_ _)m

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Although I had already added "https://www.idrive.com/" in the Exception list, as it didn't help at all, I checked (sorry, I should've done it already...) iDrive Support/FAQ site.
And I found "Firewall Guidance". And it says:

The IDrive application is designed to be firewall friendly. In most cases, you simply need to permit the firewall prompts related to the IDrive application during installation.
In case you need to configure the firewall permissions manually, allow the following IP addresses, TCP port numbers and executables.

Server addresses:
72.15.236.39
72.15.236.40
148.66.234.47
148.66.234.51
173.255.13.40
wsn34s.idrive.com

Executables for Windows OS:
id_win.exe
idwutil_000.exe
id_tray.exe
id_service.exe
idevsutil.exe
id_sync.exe

*********************
So, I added ALL of them under "Exceptions" as you instructed. ("Executables" under Command - I hope that was correct thing to do?)

I'll see if THIS would help the problem.

Thank you!
