How to Fix 'Protection Is Disabled' Error?

Sometimes, this might happen if the downloaded patches are unable to get applied to the program.
To ensure that the latest patches are downloaded, update virus definitions (click refresh icon beside Virus definitions in the main page of AVG program).
After updating, please restart your computer once & let us know if it helps. If issue persists, we may need to perform a clean installation (using AVG Clear).

Hi,

I'm running the full version AVG Internet Security. Since updating the software version to 19.7.3103 (build 19.7.4674.524), I get a 'Protection is Disabled' warning on the AVG control panel. Clicking on the adjacent button to 'Fix Now' does absolutely nothing.

Meanwhile, I'm still getting green 'OK' lights underneath the warning message, indicating that all five elements of the suite ARE enabled. So, I'm left wondering if I'm protected or not???  Running the AVG Repair tool doesn't solve the problem either.

Does anyone know what might cause this, and even better, how to cure it?
