We regret the inconvenience caused, have you used our AVG clear / AVG remover tool to uninstall AVG with its traces? If not, download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.

1.Open tool
2.User Account control - click "Yes"
3.Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compatibility)
4.Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
5.Click "Uninstall"
6.Click "Restart computer"

After restart, run AVG Remover http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework).

Now you can proceed with the installation of AVG free version as suggested here: http://avgclick.me/InstallFree . If the issue persists, we will assist you further. Thank you!

The trial version of the paid services installed themselves, and now I can't get back to my free version. When I try to pull up the dashboard, it just gives me a pop up saying my trial period has expired, buy now. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didnt work. How do i get my free version back?
