I have now twice been messed around by AVG in sending me from one person to another, not recognising a case number, having been forwarded to a third party tech support person, who was brilliant, but i latterly found out was in Indonesia, and not AVG tech staff, I paid for a service to save my pc against a virus attack, successfully thank goodness, I then returned to calling AVG to continue the process which took days, to again not be recognised by any AVG support staff (with case numbers that did not match theirs), this process took many calls, and once I finally understood what had happened i was in touch with the far east company and member of staff until this virus attack was fixed.
WHEN i finally managed to get in touch with AVG (all by phone) because i had also been advised to get full-paid protection by the third-party tech support, I had a lovely conversation with a member of sales staff, I explained my situation, difficult at the mo, and still hard up financially, i was offered a two-year deal, and told to call back when i could afford it!
3 months or so later, i call back... surprise surprise NO REFERENCE NUMBER MATCHES and once again i have just spent an hour at least and I've ended up frustrated, with the agent i was chatting to telling me that i should have called back to accept the offer right away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM UTTERLY APPALLED by this system, that I have 3 case numbers/incident numbers, from of which none seem to relate to anything to verify my days of calls to AVG tech support UK, given to me by AVG, calls upon calls of help, finally successful, but again unrelated, to finally an offer which I can now afford but that is not being honoured... and told i should have followed the offer up straight away even though i told the support staff i couldn't afford it at the time.....

all i would like is the upgrade to protect my pc, advised to me by the third-party tech support staff, offered to me by an AVG telephone agent, and here we go, another brick wall, no honour, bad customer support and the only offer to help was offering me the 'offer of the month'!!
