How to make Firewall allow Amazon Echo Device?

Hello Susan,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I certainly understand that you are using the Amazon Echo Device for viewing online videos and it is connected to your computer where the AVG protection Firewall is blocking it to perform and you have disabled the Firewall of AVG so that the device performs without any issues. Have you installed any software program on your PC for this Amazon Echo Device?

Amazon Echo (and similarly a TiVo DVR) are devices that by default the firewall component of my AVG "protection" package blocks.

I just replaced an AVG 2015 Internet Security product with the "Protection" product. The Echo device had been working fine but the new firewall blocks it. The TiVo device had not been working, but since it only needed to access its database every two weeks it was simple enough to disable the firewall as needed. Echo is a full time interactive device so I've simply turned off the firewall component.

AVG engineers, I hope you have a solution for such devices!

Excellent! Thank you for the detailed and clarified information. I can understand your issue situation now. Yes, you can allow or block IP addresses through AVG Firewall.

Please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1G3omO8 and then allow each IP addresses and then you won't be having this issue.
Please do let us know the status of this. Thank you.
