Hello Michael, I would like to keep you informed that it is not possible to move or change the location of the folder $AVG $VAULT. Also it is not recommended to change the location of it as it may affect the performance of the AVG program. If you still wish to 'format' the drive in which the $AVG/$VAULT is installed, then you will need to reinstall the entire AVG program to ensure the complete functionality of the AVG program. Please feel free to contact us back for any further assistance. Thank you.

I use AVG Internet Security 2014 and for some reson, there is a hidden folder ($AVG/$VAULT/vault.db) in my H Drive. I suspect this is the locaiton of the AVG VIrus Vault and it can't be deleted or moved due to it being accessed by the AVG Watchdog program.
Using a back-up software, I have copied this to an external HD and it can't be removed either. So the issue is, why isn't this file on the C drive together with the other AVG Program Files and why can't I delete, move or even change its location? As my H drive is full of stuff I want to back up on an external hard disc, it's extremely inconvenient to have to deal with a file that can't be modified.
