Hello everyone
I had the same problem. I remember I downloaded something and boom immediately my pc started acting weird.
Now the solution that worked out for me was:
1- Do a full scan (Browser and malware). Once you know what the malware/rookit is.
2- Restore your computer without erasing your personal files. (Start button, restore, restore pc without deleting your personal data) your computer will start the process, will restart and then will back on.
3- Do step 1 again. Once it is done, You will see that malware located in your MBR, and automatically avg will show you a pop up message letting you know that you need to do an start up scan and you will hit yes.
Once AVG is working analizing your computer you will see a black screen with avg telling you what files are corrupted. Right when you get to 80% of that particular process avg will show you the options to move to your quarantine bault. You will hit yes to all.
4- your pc will restart and when its back on, go to avg and then move the quarantine vault and overthere you will see those corrupted files. Do a new scan and tou wont see it againg.
hope this can help you all.

I have the same issue
AVG Antivirus Free detects a high-level threat called MBR:Backboot-G [Rtk], but is unable to resolve the issue.
I have tried to reset my computer to factory settings but the threat is still there.
I have also tried to make AVG Antivirus Free run a startup-scan but to no effect.
Do you know how resolve this issue?

Hi
I have the same issue.
Please provide a solution.
Thank you for the screenshot.
I have sent an email to collect error logs from your computer.
These log files will be analysed by our senior team and contact you via email with a solution.
It does not appear in a pop-up, only after a deep-scan and when i press the RESOLVE ALL-button it just processes for a while, then stops processing. If i click RESOLVE ALL again I get the same result.
Heres a picture
