It seems that instructions are corect I just tried it with latest version.

I have installed the Free Version of AVG AntiVirus on my MacBook Pro running OS X Yosemite.
Since installing AVG the machine has been freezing with the 'busy' mouse pointer for upto a minute. This is happening several times a day.
I would ike to uninstall AVG to see if this stops the problem. The installation file used was avg_avc_mac_all_2014_4725.dmg
I have read the post from July 15, 2014 but I think these instructions are for a different version as mine dosn't have an uninstall option.
Any help would be most appreciated.
