Could someone please tell me to restore files from the virus vault in AVG free edition?
I do not have any option to do so under the "options" menu.
I keep getting a message saying that I should upgrade to the Pro Version.

It is actually the issue with the program. If it says as expired then you couldn't access the interface and options of the program.
We request you to try the instructions as mentioned in this article: http://avgread.me/1073t3Z and check whether you get the option to downgrade to free version.

Thanks for your reply.
Under the "AVG Zen" title block, I have a box called "Antivirus free". Directly under that I have a message saying "Your Pro Trial has expired".
Unfortunately the steps described in the link do not work because I do not have the options referred to.
