How do I scan an individual drive and not the whole computer?

Hello Alfred,
You can right click on the individual drive and select scan with AVG. You can also check the article (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-start-or-plan-a-computer-scan) for our scan options.
