Unfortunately it is not possible to skip a file during computer scan.
You can add a file or folder in AVG exception list so that it will not scan with AVG.

My hard disc contains my backup files… which is a huge, many gigabyte file. It takes AVG forever to scan it. I know either the file can be skipped, or the entire hard drive can be skipped. How would I get AVG to skip over this file during the routine, scheduled scans?
