They're supposed to stop if I want them to stop, otherwise they're a nuisance. I don't see how my machine could concievably become infected with malware while I am disconnected from the internet and not using any new data or devices.
Hello Sean. The AVG services are not supposed to stop. They should be running to protect your PC against infections. Could you please let me know which AVG process is utilizing more CPU resources?
I need to terminate (not disable) all AVG processes on my machine, for some reason I don't seem to be able to do this in task manager. Is there any way to do this without completely uninstalling? I just want to temporarily free up some extra memory while disconnected from the internet and disabling the protection doesn't actually stop the processes from running in the background and taking up memory.
Using AVG Free 2015 on Windows 8.
