We regret the inconvenience caused. In this case, we request you to use our AVG clear and remover tool to remove it with traces.
Please download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.
1.Open tool
2.User Account control - click "Yes"
3.Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compatibility)
4.Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
5.Click "Uninstall"
6.Click "Restart computer"
After restart, run AVG Remover http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework).
Earlier today I was unable to use any of my browsers to access content. After shutting down some AVG features my functionality came back. I now want to totally get rid of AVG and any vestiges of it. Uninstall would not work so I used the AVG Remover tool. I've run it twice and still have an AVG Antivirus service running on my Win 10 computer and I am not able to stop it. Nothing shown in my list of installed software. I still have folders with files in them with it all marked Read Only and cannot be changed. This is surely evil.

To remove AVG folders manually, Go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders.
1. Type “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
2. “%temp%” and remove all the files.
3. %appdata% - Remove all the AVG folders.
4. %programdata% - Open the AVG folder and remove the old files.
Please go to c: drive-> program files and delete the AVG files. We are here if you need any further assistance.
