It is now December 2020 and the issue is still not resolved. The web shield alert keeps popping up every few minutes on a Mac with a warning window, and there is no way to stop doing so without actually turning it off. Nobody wants to turn it off, but I don't want to see any notifications from it anywhere, it should do that silently in the background. Yes, obviously, the alerts are always different, but that makes absolutely no difference that I don't want to see that alert window, it should just do whatever it does silently in the background. It seems that AVG does not intend to provide a solution.
Does anyone know how to turn off the AVG Web Shield Alerts that tell you that the threat is secured?
"we've safely blocked the threat HTML:Script-inf on http://mac............................. - from being downloaded."
It Pops up all the time I am getting so frustrated with it. It pops up every like 5 minutes.

May I ask you whether this pop-up occurs randomly or surfing the internet? If it occurs only during browsing, try it in alternative browsers say Edge, Firefox and monitor the status.
Please let us know the pattern of occurence in brief to assist further.
