How to use AVG VPN?

The issue has been resolved with the help of the remote tech.  I like AVG's products.  But I find that I have to be tough to be an AVG customer.  It seems like every time I try or buy something new, I have trouble getting the product or getting it functioning.  Once it is, everthing is fine.  You really need keep your web instructions updated, because the instructions for getting VPN to work said to click on "connect" in the upper right corner.  Well, how was I to know that I was supposed to click on a little white dot on the left of the user interface to bring up the screen which had the "connect" in the upper right corner??  Over the years as an electrical engineer I wrote a bunch of test proceedures.  You must keep the instructions complete and updated and you must lead the user by the hand.

I have been using AVG for several years now for virus protection, etc.  So I wanted to try out AVG VPN and I clicked on the Try It For Free.  Something downloaded, then something installed.  It looks like it installed a complete new version of what I had but there is nothing showing VPN.  I've used vpn where I used to work so I know I have to sign in.  WTF over?  Where is the AVG VPN?  How do I use it?

Wow, AVG is sure agrivating.  When I came here it said I had to log in.  So I did, then it sent me to another page and I couldnt get back here, then when I did it said I had to log in.  5 times it took to get here logged in.  I like AVG as a product but using your website is a pain.
I followed your link.  In my new user interface there is no "connect" in the upper right hand corner.  There is no "connect" anywhere in the menu or anywhere else.  So, how do I get AVG VPN activated?  By the way when I log in it says I have no subscriptions but my present subscription should run until January of 2018.  If I have lost my subscription for trying AVG VPN I'm gonna be pissed.
