I have the same issue. Using yahoo webmail. Repeatedly attempts to redirect. AVG seems to catch the attempts. Do we have a solution to this issue? Many thanks

Re: case 05720738
Hello,

Last Tuesday someone named Michel removed my version of firefox and installed a new say this was thew reason I was having trouble with HTML:RedirMe-inf. Since Sunday I have had my web pages close with the same message. This is true in Firefox and Internet Explorer.

It is nice that AVG reports and error, but why cannot the malware/virus not be removed?

AVG tells me that the trojan has been removed, but when I get this message in firefox browser many times a session I wonder about AVG. How doe one get rid of this totally and permanently?

Thank you for the information. Please send me the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the threat detection message received from AVG, we will check the exact location of detection and assist you further.

I'm also a paid user of AVG and I've been getting the same trojan notification when using Chrome specifically when I use Yahoo.ca. I have used many other detection software and it finds nothing but I keep getting the notification from your system when I click any links off of Yahoo.ca that the threat has been aborted.

Peter,

Thank you for the screenshot. May I know the AVG version installed on your computer? Also, please disable Web shield component(AVG > Menu > Settings > Component) and check the status.

Hello Leo,

I understand the inconvenience. Please reset the Chrome browser and restart the computer to check the status.

version is 17.8.3036
Web shield component disabled

Shawn,
May I know if it is a paid version or free version of AVG that you are using?
