Hi Fraser,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.
Without me being able to see what is happening it is hard to estimate what the situation is, but seems like the Web page is infected. Please Reset your browser and check if that fixes the issue.
I also suggest you run our AutoExec Tool by downloading it from https://www.avg.com/tools#tba5 and then Click on Scan with Virus Total. In case you see any entries in Red, please try to immunize the file if it is a Microsoft file or else delete the file by going to the Location if it is an application.
Hi team,
This pops up in a new window when in gmail or any webpage. Pretty much any window it seems:
https://brandwakefulness.com/ct/193529/419/3
I close that window. Clicking a second time works as desired.
AVG also secures the threat: "We've safely aborted connection to 'brandwakelfulness.com' as because it was infected with HTML:RedirME-inf [Trj]"
Have updated and run MalwareBytes.
Any help greatly appreciated!
P.S. bring back the death penalty for pricks who invent these viruses...I'm joking...or am I?
