Hi Philip,
We regret the inconvenience caused.
Please let us know, what error message you are getting when you try to open the above mentioned applications.
We're looking forward to hearing from you to resolve this matter.
I recently bought and installed AVG Internet Security, AVG Tune-Up and AVG Driver Updater.
As of today, hyperlinks within my often used MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) do not work, even if the target file is on my own computer! I get the same error message in all applications. I don't know what has changed in AVG but this is highly annoying. I tried deactivating many blockers in the AVG settings but still no luck.
I also tried to stop all AVG processes in the Task Manager but that's not possible either, even though I am admin.
I am considering de-installing all AVG products and asking for a full refund.

Glad to know that, Philip. Appreciate your technical knowledge.
Please continue using MS Office apps after performing each action using AVG programs & if the issue persists, let us know after what action, the issue re-occurs.
I managed to fix the problem. A necessary registry entry had been removed, perhaps as part of some AVG security measure that had access to registry entries.
Luckily I was able to export the following key from the registry of another computer with the same operating system (Windows 7) and import it to this computer.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\htmlfile\shell
Hyperlinks now work again from MS Office applications, linked either to websites or to local files :-)
I would still reccomend checking your latest source code and see if this registry modification is - erroneously - part of some AVG Safety feature.
