I am receiving an error message anytime I try to update anything

THIS IS THE SOLUTION. You need to do a complete REMOVAL first, not just an uninstall. The you need to do a complete INSTALL.

I was unable to get my AVG to update, so I tried to uninstall and I would receive the following message…

Description: Event exec_finished

I will help you with the issue,
please uninstall all AVG programs installed in your computer from control panel
and Run AVG Remover tool
Download Remover Tool using the link below
http://www.avg.com/tools#tba2
and then download your AVG program from www.AVG.com/download
and reinstall it.
