I am trying to install avg but i keep getting it is not a microsoft app

I have a multi avg cover for up to 10 devices but cant install avg on my new HP note book which has Window 11. I can download the file but it wont open. All i get is that the file is not a Microsoft App. I have bought the install service from avg but this is no good as i can not open the file???

Michael, upon checking the screenshot, I can see that the "Choose where to get apps" option is available under:

Settings > Apps > Advanced app settings > Choose where to get apps > select Anywhere.

However, in the event that you're still facing a hard time installing AVG Internet Security, I've sent you an email with detailed instructions to contact our additional support.
Please check your inbox/spam folders to find the email and use it to contact them at your convenience.

Please follow the below steps and check if the issue persists:

  1. Open Settings by going to Start > Settings.
  2. Click on 'Apps' from the list on the left once Settings comes up. Then on the righthand side, click 'Apps & features' from the list of options.
  3. Under the 'Apps & features' section, find the "Choose where to get apps" option and click the dropdown menu next to it.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Anywhere".

Once you've performed the above steps, please try installing AVG Internet Security and check if the issue still persists.
