Hello Sven,
I'm sorry to hear about this. I request you to open control panel > program and feature and look for AVG Secure VPN, if there you can select it > click on change and select repair. I also request you to open AVG Free Antivirus > My AVG > click on AVG Secure VPN install now, if it's not installed.

I just bought the VPN service. Having the AVG security package. Then suddenly it all disappered when I restarted the PC. Now there is just the free AVG for trial. I have windows 8.
