I have tried to remove web tune up ussing both the above. I want it gone from my computer! Please. I can get it removed from Chrome and Firefox. What I can not get web tuneup removed from is my computer. And it appears to be running in the background, I Never allow a program to change my home page or search engine. When I have used AVG clear or Avg Browser configuration tool the only thing it does is clear all my data from Chrome, totally resets. After much digging on Chrome support my Ah snap WebGL error is Avg web tuneups fault. I constantly have to reload A facebook game I enjoy playing and any chat sessions I am in. Very fustrating. I have tried unistalling tuneup while avg free is on my computer and after I have remove avg free. When I do a clean install of Chrome web tuneup shows up and I put it in the trash can (delete it from Chrome) . Show it is running in the background and affecting my browser and computer. Unistalling from Windows control panel programs and features does not work. Web tuneup stays on my computer. Pleas help

I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to uninstall AVG Web TuneUp. In this case, I request you to open Google chrome, please go to chrome://extensions/ look for AVG WebTuneUp and click delete button/symbol (you can also reset the Google Chrome browser once settings > advance settings > reset). After that, please check if your browser is working fine. If you're still unable to delete/remove AVG WebTuneUp then please share a screenshot of the AVG WebTuneup which you want to delete/remote to assist you further. I have used AVG free for years. Somewhere/ somehow AVG Web Tune up got installed. This program is interfering with my browser Google Chrome, I am not going to switch browsers. I have tried AVG clear and Avg Browser configuration tool to remove Web tuneup. Please help me get rid of this terrible program

I really appreciate your effort in resolving this issue. At this point, I request you to reboot your Windows 10 computer in safe mode (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reboot-your-computer-into-Safe-Mode), go to control panel > program and features and uninstall AVG Web TuneUp. I also request you to go to C drive, program files (x86) look for AVG web tuneup files and delete them.

Hi I followed your instructions. Web tuneup did not uninstall during Safe mode - control panel- Programs and features - AVG web tune up. I went to program files (x86) and deleted all files. Then I went back to control panel- Programs and features - AVG web tune up and "Windows said program did not exist Would you like the title Aug web tune up removed from Programs and features?" I clicked yes. At this point I had hoped all was good. But I restarted my computer went onto Crome and problems still exist.
Just to see I typed into Windows search ( or what passes as search) Cortana , AVG web tune up back and Firefox back up for personal data comes up.The file that concerns me is Avg @toolbar. xpi.
I uninstalled Chrome to see if this would effect it and it did when reinstalling chrome. What pops up Do you wish AVG webt tune up to be added With a enable disable button. I pushed disable so it would not be added to chrome. So I have this program AVG web tune up in Firefox and Chrome backups. And I am still getting ah snap Web gl errors and flash will not load when I want to play Farmville 2 on facebook, Please I am housebound. I have MS and this is my life. I play a silly game watch some TV and sleep. Please help I really do not want to loose all my bookmarks passworks and other data. Thank you
