Please let us know the version of AVG that is installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About). 
Also, share us the screenshot of error message that you receive while sending/receiving emails with web & email protection enabled.

I cannot receive or send emails - only when I stop web and email protection.

Please fix the error - otherwise I have no protection via my virus program
