I understand how something like this can really try your patience.
Please be informed that the only AVG product we have for free is AVG Antivirus. AVG PC TuneUp is available as paid and trial version. Once the trial period expires you need to purchase the paid product to continue the subscription. I request you to uninstall and then reinstall AVG Antivirus free in your pc. To run AVG remover tool for AVG Antivirus please follow the below steps :

Accept the license agreement and then choose AVG Internet Security and remove it.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

I've been having trouble with the AVG antivirus and tuneup. they will not update and i downloaded the free version and the program wants to to "update" by buying it and i dont want to buy it. the program is acting like a virus. it wont let me unintall either product and i have no other 3rd party antiviruses installed on my pc. so i do not understand why it wont work. I want this product off my pc.
