Please check whether the Microsoft apps, and other necessary applications/windows features are wake in the AVG TuneUp > Speed up > Background & startup programs.
In case, if any essential apps are in sleep mode, please wake and check the status.

Few days ago, I scanned and cleaned my computer using AVG Tune Up, Driver Updatder, Internet Security. After that, none of my microsoft office apps doesn't work any more.
