I have a virus that saying your program is critiaclly out of date when I click on a search bar avg wont find it or IO bit malware either its driving me nuts

Howard, For very explicit info have you 'googled'  I have a virus that hijacked my search bar when I search or redirect to a different page saying my program is out of date…
No AV product is capable of providing you with 100% protection although AVG are always working 24/7.
Have a look @ these 2 articles…
