I have free very-basic AVG. Last week I accepted trial offer to run AVG's upgrade to more protection, for free, one time only. 

I figured it would be quick, but there were several aspects I couldn't figure out and others didn't work right. So I went to bed, assuming I could continue. But the trial period was for one 24-hour day, not one trial, and thus though it provided a list of hundreds of supposed flaws, 25 hours later it wouldn't fix them. OK, fair enough.

The problem: Since then my computer has served up one or more demands that I upgrade to paid subscriber status every single day. It's annoying and disruptive. How can I make it stop without uninstalling the free part of AVG?
