I have to turn off AVG to play a game?

Please let us know the version of AVG that is installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About). 
Meanwhile, please disable AVG components inidividually as mentioned in this article to identify the component that is causing the issue & let us know.

I did some googleing and found out i need to turn off AVG to play a newly installed game, even after putting it on the "added" list. Doesn't it seem counter productive to have to turn off a security program to be able to play a game? any fixes for this? there should be a way to have it stay on.
