Do you need help to install AVG AntiVirus free on your PC?

I've tried reinstalling, uninstalling, using the AVGClear and Remove tool, I've used the Apps and Features viewer to uninstall, repair, remove all AVG files, but I just cannot install or uninstall AVG Free. It all started when I got a side-by-side configuration error, so I followed the steps to uninstall and remove AVG files to reinstall it, but it didn't uninstall. The files were still there. So I repaired the files and it did nothing. I tried reinstalling it with an online and offline file and after finishing downloading/installing, nothing happens. No AVG in my system tray, the Apps and features icon is not the AVG flag. I've tried everything, I need some serious help.
