Hi John,
I am happy to see that your issue is resolved.
Thanks for posting back.
Hi Alam - many thanks for the phone numbers, including the UK freephone one. I will call tomorrow morning uk time.
Hi Gema - I will let you know how I get on. I suspect there is a bug as AVG Internet Security 2014 tells me I am fully protected on the Home page. Thanks for sharing.
John, I also had this same issue on both of my networked computers on 9/18. The tray notification pop ups were so annoying & couldn't be closed. I came here to the community to see if anyone else had complained about this issue & all I found was someone had posted about the issue happening to their program in 2012 version. I am running 2014. I tried to follow the AVG suggestion on how to stop them by unchecking the scanner notification box & that didn't help. Finally I made sure that the link was AVG's by hovering it & printed the directions on how to change, etc. Followed the directions & made the changes in Outlook. It just caused me more problems! I called our ISP for help getting me back to receiving email. I also have had issues of not being able to connect to the internet on one of my networked computers. Today I still feel like something is not right. I couldn't even find a number to call for phone support on the website.
