Hello Larry,
We understand that you want to install AVG Free without AVG Zen. However, please be informed that after the recent update. The AVG Zen was embedded with AVG AntiVirus Free, ther5 is no way we can install this product alone. And also most of the customers prefer this way and thus AVG have enabled this feature after the recent update.
Thank you.
Hello Larry,
We can understand to which popup you are referring to.
Yes, when you install AVG Free Antivirus freshly then after the installation a small popup will come to the bottom right corner of the screen which will detect your network connected to the PC and ask you whether it is "Trusted".
You will have option as "I trust this network", only if you click on it you won't be getting the popup again.
If you decline the popup then each time you will be getting i.t
To confirm the message we requested for the screenshot but from the explanation the popup should relate to this.
If you are getting this popup then please go ahead in clicking "I trust this network".
Am I dealing with morons?
You don't bother to read what I wrote.
You want screenshot.
I CAN'T GET SCREENSHOT.
Error message is on network onwer's computer
Then you send me a letter in a foreign language. (???)
READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY:
I see no error message to take screenshot of.
I get a telephone call from network owner.
HE gets error message when I open AVG Zen.
My question is simple:
Does AVG Zen ping a connected network when it starts?
The network oewner needs to know this.
Hello Larry,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused but please be informed that Zen is only the interface and not a program.
On this Zen interface AVG Antivirus free gets installed and perform its functions.
Previously the normal AVG Free antivirus without Zen interface was available but after this Zen release we have removed the previous version and only this Zen version is available.
To know more about AVG Zen please have a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRLVVGyw3v8&list=PLXC2w_psz2NRL21n7ilmG4-9YAZ3uToAR .
Regarding your issue, we request you to disable AVG Antivirus free temporarily by following the instructions as mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1GnMD3N .
If the issue gets resolved after disabling AVG then the problem is because of AVG, so let us know the status of this.
You do not understand. You just push your poroduct on people who don't want it.
I have been ORDERED to install AVG free and NOT install AVG Zen.
Everyone else has just AVG Free. My computer had a failure and the hard disk was replaced. I just want things back the way they were. So does the network owner.
The network owner says that AVG Zen is interfering with his management of the network. Is there any way to shit it off?
Does Zen somehow probe the network when it starts? He gets a threat alert only when I start AVG and the Zen screen appears.
Is there a way to start AVG from the AVG page instead of the Zen page?
The network owner says that, since all of the other users have AVG without Zen, that I should be able to have it too.
Why don't you actually READ what I wrote before?
1. This error occurs ONLY when I open Zen by cklicking on the icon.
2. No access to the Internet is occurring at this time.
3. The error message appears on the network owner's computer that managres the network.
4. It reports the "Unauthorized access" is on the network (not the Internet).
Stop sending prodeuct support to idiots and answer the question I asked:
Does Zen probe the network when it starts?.
The network does not belong to me. The owner of the network requires me to have AVG free but does not want AVG Zen on the individual user computers. I need to install just AVG Free. Nut you have provided no way to do it.

DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB
This is NOT what I was referring to. Get someone who understands real Emjglish.
The problem is not any popup I get.
The problem is a popup the NETWOEK OWBER gets saying that this unknown progrm Zen tried to access the network in violatiomn of the netwoirk rules.
The solution is to abolish Zen.

Why don't you answer the questions I asked??? You keep ducking the question and giving me blather.
You want me to show you a screenshot.
My computer DOES NOT SHOW ANY ERROR, so I can't take a screenshot of itβ¦
The error appears on SOMEONE ELSE'S COMPUTER when I start Zen on my computer.
I can't take a screenshot from this other computer. I do not even know where it is.
There are two possible causes. I nreed to know which is occurring:
1. Zen is testing for the presence of the network and the network is reporting these tests as errors.
2. Network security detects software running on a network computer that can access other computers.
I need to know which happened.
My other compouter causes no trouble because it does not have Zen.

I don't have any screebshot. The owner of the network is getting this warning. I don't have access to his computer.
The owner doesn't have a screenshot either. The message is from his network management system. It doesn't stay on the screen long enough. He sees "Unauthorized access", my computer's network name, and a Details link. But the dialog box closes before he can click the link.
Does Zen somenow probe the network when it is opened?

Larry,
We certainly understand your concern. Ideally there should not be any interference with AVG Zen and the network your computer is connected. The reason why we are asking you for a screenshot is to get a better idea of what error is getting triggered actually to understand your issue better and provide you a further resolution. Once again, we assure you that AVG Zen will not interfere with your network.
Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance.
