I Pay For AVG Multi Device, Does the Android install the free or Upgrade version

With the Avg Multi Device, I have an activation code.  When I go to install the AVG on the Android phone it asks me if i want to continue with the FREE VERSION or UPGRADE.  I'm hoping that since I am paying for multi device i can select the UPGRADE option and it will allow me to enter my activation code and I will not get all the ads and I don't pay additional costs.  Is this correct?
