We'd be glad to assist.
Follow the steps below to remove AVG completely.

1. Open Finder
2. In menubar select Go > Go to Folder…
3. Type /Library/Application Support/ and his the enter key
4. Locate and delete AVGAntivirus folder
5. Reboot computer and AVG should be removed.

I purchased avg multiple devices, 21.12.2020. I tried to remove my free download by the instructions given. ie, Application, delete, there is no delete on the right click, only move to bin. so I did and emptied the bin. My download keeps telling me to delete the existing version, I tried so many times, removal tool, no luck!! I even tried AVG removal, there is a cost, why can't it be simple, please help.
