I received this AVG email is it real

Notice of Offer to users of AVG Software (Claim Ref: E16469_0193173)

Received today. Is this real or a scam?

Have received the same and was about to ask the same question (with a different claim reference which the letter says is your personal claim) when I saw your post. I checked that the sender email address is bona fide and cannot find any evidence of phishing, but will wait until there is more feedback.

Few minutes later got this from a Google search

The email address Avast_Claims_UK@avast.com appears to use a legitimate Avast domain (@avast.comavast.com**)**, but it is highly likely to be a phishing attempt or an email spoofing trap.

Avast does not typically use this specific email address for customer service, billing, or claims handling. Instead, they handle all refunds and account issues securely through the Official Avast Support Webform.

I’d be cautious before clicking any links or providing personal information from the email.
Even if the sender address looks legitimate, that alone doesn’t guarantee the message is genuine.
It’s safer to verify the claim directly through the official AVG/Avast website or support page.
You can also check the email headers and the actual link destination before taking any action.
If there’s still doubt, contacting official support directly is the safest option.

For homeowners planning wallpaper projects, choosing a trusted seattle installer can also help ensure the work is handled professionally. A reliable installer can provide clear information about the installation process and help avoid common project issues.

Hi All,
Please could you post a screenshot of the email with all personal, account or licence data hidden so I can advise you further on this.
