I think AVG is preventing my Adobe Acrobat from working

When I create a .pdf, Acrobat tells me it's created and asks where the file should be saved.
But when I go to the folder, no file.  When I look in recently created list and click on the file, I get error message saying the file can't be found.  I think it's being prevented by AVG but I've tried adding exception and putting Adobe on the safe list and nothing is working.  Ideas?
