how do i stop avg from telling me to reinstall, as i no longer need avg for windows 10 which wont work properly anyway

It is to keep you informed that some of the AVG Files might have got deleted during the installation of Windows 10 and while returning back to Windows 8.1 and that's the reason you have been asked to reinstall the AVG program. Once you have reinstalled the program you can get back your AVG program as before. Thank you.
Hello Mark, I apologize for the inconvenience caused. You have to reinstall AVG after upgrading the Operating System. Since you have changed your OS from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1, you have to reinstall the AVG.

i think you misunderstand, i upgraded from OS 8.1 to windows 10 but did not do anything with the avg program that was on my 8.1. i did nothing to avgwhen i tried out windows 10. when i went back to windows 8.1 i thought it would have stayed as was. but, now i am back to windows 8.1 , avg is telling me to reinstall but i already have the windows 8.1 version. i did not reinstall to fit windows 10 in the first place. my avg thinks i am using OS 10
