From your description, it seems that either AVG or website might have updated their patches, which has whitelisted the site.

I was also having issues with the reporting of JS:Redirector-SE [Trj] on all browsers when accessing my Telstra modem on 192.168.0.1.  AVG and Defender scans indicate no infections and I couldn't see anything unusual in installed software or examination of targeted registries.  However, the issue now seems resolved.
