Nothing works.  Now I can't even find AVG listed among my programs to repair or uninstall.  What a revolting development!  Help

Nothing works.  Now I can't even find AVG among my programs,  to repair or uninstall.  I think I clicked on something that said that I didn't want to see AVG listed, therefore, it is gone and I can't find it.  Not smart on my part, but I admit that I'm not too savy when it comes to computers.    Help if you can.

I tried to download the AVG removal tool, but get a message "unspecified error".  Now what?
