Identity component not acitive in AVG Internet Security

It's AVG Internet Security and it's a paid version and the latest version is installed.  When I logged into today none of the components were working, AVG stated I needed to restart the PC which I did and everything appears OK.  I noticed I wasn't the only one having problems with the Identity component yesterday.

May I know the name of AVG program that you have installed?
Is it free, trial or paid version?
Do you have the latest 2016 version of AVG program installed?

This has only happened today.  The Identity component is not active.  When I click on ‘Fix now’, it is active for 2 seconds at most and then reverts back to inactive.  All the other components are OK.  Any suggestions why this is happening and how to resolve the problem?

For few issues with AVG, a system restart will always fix it. In your case this has happened and we are glad that your issue got fixed.
During the system restart all the services of AVG that has stopped would start running and then you login you can see all the components activated.
This happens only for some of the instances, if the system restart didn't help we have to follow the next troubleshooting methods.
