After all the time wasted last week exactly the same thing has happened again. What is going on???

I can't turn identity back on. Just keeps asking for a restart. On Windows 10. Is there a fix for this or do I need to reinstall whole programme?

I think it is 2016. Not too sure. How can I check?  Also I have done the repair several times. Doesn't make any difference. Just keeps saying it wants to restart. Any more help?

It expires on 24th October 2016 and then you won't be charged for it.

Thanks. I don't have time to do all this again for the moment so I have unistalled AVG and am using another one which downloaded right away. Can you please make sure that  I am not charged at the expiry of this licence as I do nto want to renew. I simply do not have time to waste on this. Clearly there is an issue between AVG and Windows 10. No matter whose fault it is, I am the one who is suffering. Please cnfirm I will not be charged again in October. Thank you.

How do I do that???

I did all that. It would not accept my licence so I installed the "free" download which turns out to be a trial. My licence is  IM36R-SZDAA-0B4XR-QSGLZ-Y4ZUX-K. This does not expire until October. How can I get use of the remainder of my licence? I have wasted hours on this and am really fed up. AVG worked fine before th last update and now I have the basic service and it looks like I will have to pay twice.

We would request you to run AVG remover tool to completely remove AVG and then re install it.  
Please  click this link http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and "Run" the AVG Remover tool.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.
