Identity of a Virus

Windows 7
AVG Zen Build 1.171.3 .221
AVG Anti-Virus Free 17.3 .3011

How can I determine the identity of a virus captured from an E-mail message by
AVG Anti-Virus?

Today, AVG Anti-Virus detected a virus attached to an incoming E-mail message.  In this situation, I send an alert back to the sender's ISP.
I wanted to include the name of the virus in my alert, but I could not find it.  Apparently AVG Anti-Virus does not maintain a log of viruses it captures.  Also, AVG Anti-Virus eliminated the virus without saving it in its quarantine, where I could have seen the identity.

Hi David,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. AVG Anti-Virus free 2017 version would remove the most infective files without moving to Quarantine, you can see the other infected files in the Quarantine. However, this has been already escalated and our developers are working on it. The feature will be added as soon as possible, so that you can see all the infected files in the Quarantine.
Please run a whole computer scan using AVG and check again.
Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you
