Hello Alecia,
We are sorry to hear that. Could you please confirm us the exact AVG program installed on your PC and whether the AVG program has detected the infections on any of the Windows files? A screenshot of the detection can help us to assist you better. Please follow the instructions on the article http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot to create the screenshot.
Thank you.
I just installed AVG on a brand new, out of the box Dell Laptop and, when I restarted, having not even used it at all yet, I get a warning that I have a Trojan Horse. Note: I have ONLY added AVG. NOTHING else.
What is going ON???
Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm using the latest free version of AVG off your main site for Windows.
When the Virus flag popped up, I immediately selected the option to have AVG secure the virus but it came back that it could not resolve the issue. Not knowing what to do, I restarted AVG to scan and it did not detect it the second time. I am now running malwarbytes.
Once this is finished, if it doesn't detect anything either, I will restart the laptop and see if it only gets detected at Startup. Then, I will have the sense to get a screen shot.
Alecia, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
