I did put the email shield back on I've narrowed it down to this I can log into my outlook received and send emails. I can't connect my hotmail email in gmail app for that email. I've tried other hotmail email and it works. This is for my iPhone. I've tried adding hotmail on gmail app on android and it works.
when I set it up for that email it says validating and then the message says " Error logging in. Please sign into your account in a web browser and make sure imap is enabled. imap something went wrong please check settings are try again smpt: succeeded.
I just switched to AVG. I purchased the annual subscription for up to 10 devices. I use all my emails on gmail app. Once I switched to avg I’m unable to connect my outlook email which is associated with my host machine where that email is. All the ports are correct. It says error message imap be sure to log in and enable imap. It is enabled, I spent hours researching it and spent an hour on the phone with google and tested another outlook email and it worked and was able to sync with my phone. I’ve tested it on android and apple and both work for the alternate outlook email. I’m beyond frustrated and can’t find an answer or solution I took off email shield, do I have to disable this feature on all the computers that i installed on with that email? I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance. Thanks.
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you. Please re-enabled Email shield (as it isn't recommended to turn it off) & then share us the screenshot of the error message that you receive while sending/receiving emails for better clarity.
