I renewed a 1yr subscription for antivirus, rec'd an email that says I need to activate the license; followed instructions in the email to do so. Now getting an error message that says "incorrect function". When I go to my account, it clearly shows I paid for a new year that expires in 08/16.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. I can see that you are unable to activate AVG. We request you to uninstall AVG ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG ) and then reinstall AVG Internet Security ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security ) again to get this issue fixed.
