Hello David,

For your information, the remaining existing subscription validity will be automatically added to your renewed subscription.

What is going on here. Please refer this stuff up to your Billing Team.
First after I renewed on 9th March my Internet Security (New Start date 16th March) and Tune Up (New start date 29th March) I found that you had taken the money for both on 9th March and entered the new start date for both as 9th March. This is 6 days too soon for the Internet Security and 3 weeks too soon for the TiuneUp. I requested that the correct dates be entered for each. This request was answered with some strange stuff about 'remaining subscription validity…'.
Now I find on my Subscriptions statement you have entered 'Next charge date 29th Feb 2024' for Internet Security when it should be 16th March 2024 so correct date is 16days later and for Tune Up you have 22nd Feb 2023 when it should be 29th March 2023 which is 5 weeks later.
Please pass this on to the Billing Team to have these dates corrected as I have shown.
Thank you.

Extremely disappointed with this treatment of a loyal long time customer.

This is of no use to me, I may not be here at the end of the current subscription period so all I want is a simple correction of the start dates as stated. I have been advised that the strange phrase …"remaining existing subscription validity will be automatically added to your renewed subscription" appears to be a suspicious business practice. I have been buying AVG subscriptions for years and always the start date has always been the day after the existing subscription period ended no matter how many days/weeks the renewal is paid in advance. Why the change. It was suggested that if AVG does not enetr the corrected start dates this suspicious practice be reported to British Trading Standards.
We're sorry that you feel this way, David.
The end date of AVG Internet Security and AVG TuneUp old subscriptions matches the same end of AVG Internet Security and AVG TuneUp new subscriptions. Your validity is not minimized by us.
You made a standard purchase, so the new subscriptions automatically merged with your existing subscriptions. You have a duplicate subscription for AVG TuneUp, if you say we can merge both AVG TuneUp as one with extended validity.
Thank you.
