I keep getting these warnings, about one/hour, that says this virus has been moved to quarantine. I can delete it there, but how do I keep from getting reinfected?

Hello John,

I will check this for you.

Please share the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the threat detection pop-up you receive from AVG to assist further.

Click on "View Details" from the threat pop-up of AVG and then take a screenshot.

I don't see any way to direct the scan to my E drive, but I'm running a "deep scan" now, and the E drive is connected, so maybe the scan will get to it.
Thanks.

Thanks. I could tell the virus was coming from my external drive, which is always plugged in. Maybe that's why I'm getting a notice almost every hour. Every time I follow the path from the message, the virus is gone when I get to the end fo the path…but I guess that's the point

I'll try to run a scan on the E drive.

Thank you for the screenshot.

It seems that this threat pop-up is from your external drive (E Drive).

Have you connected your external drive (Seagate Hard drive) to your computer?

If yes, we request you to check the path of the infected file and remove the same from your computer.

Or you can right click on the "E- Drive" and run a scan using AVG.

This will remove any detected threat from your external drive.
